Biographies

 

Scott King, a native Califronian from the San Francisco coast, has been in the Health and Wellness Industry since 1998. He has owned and operated several successful  practices in California, North Carolina, and Puerto Rico and has held his NCBTMB in Massage and Bodywork and a NCTMB in Sports Massage and Structrual Integrative Rehabilitation of Soft Tissue.

While in California, Scott acquired his BPPVE teaching certificate and was a primary instructor of Didactic & Clinical Practice at The National Holistic Institute College of Massage Therapy and Health Education. His classes also included Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western Therapeutic and Rehabilitative Bodywork, Science, Kinesiology, Ethics and Business Practices. He proctored as well as wrote classes in Health Education and Body-Mind Awareness.

Scott intuitively went to Puerto Rico in 2011 and calls Rincon " 'THE PLACE' where everything is good and good is everything....Just feels like home!"

 

 

Rose Tan, a native of Washington, DC, brings her nurturing experiences of parenting, teaching and training to Rincon. Her connection with mind-body practices comes from within and was cultivated during her 11 years in Taos, NM, where she lived completely on solar power. 

Rose was an adjunct professor of 4 years in the Holistic Healing Department at The University of New Mexico and  has been a certified Yoga instructor for over 20 years through the Yoga Institute in Houston, TX. From years of managing group exercise at exclusive gyms in NC,  to the experiences from her former private, personal training studio, Asanarose Studio, she creates a signature cross training based on traditional Integrative Yoga, classic Pilates (on mat, machines, as well as props), and kettlebells, creating a unique core fitness experience.

Rose is a fully certified classic Pilates instructor through PHI Pilates, kettlebell certified through Kettlebell Concepts and NETA certified in personal training. Her clients expand from the film/TV industry to corporate executives, as well as athletes, families and children.  She is excited to bring her experiences and training to her new home of Rincon.
